2012-06-17-1030 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning June 17th 2012 in the 10:30 service
Scripture: Genesis 45:5-8; Psalm 37:23-24, 28; Romans 8:28-30; II Timothy 1:8-10
Topic: Sovereignty of God
Notes:
- How long will you be mad at yourself or believe you’re being
punished
- The Lord takes bad decision and turns them around for good
- We’re grieving over things we do not know, assuming things could
have been different; we live under a dark cloud of “what if”
- We do not understand salvation if we think we can eternally
effect our quality of life
- God knows every misdirected step, immature decision... instead of
stopping these from happening He brings it all together so we see
that God ordered our steps
- Because Joseph was a good man, God let him suffer so when the
time came God could use him to deliver many people
- You didn’t do this; God did this
- God is involved, bringing His will to pass through us in ways we
cannot understand
- Will you contest God, be angry with Him or do what the Bible says
and give thanks
- He orders our steps and delights in His way; we should also
delight
- You’ll never fall and be cast away or not get up
- God loves justice, will not forsake His children
- If you have believed, you are preserved
- All things (even sins) work together for good for the called; the
good is in the eternal, not in a moment in the here and now... a
glorified state with Jesus Christ
- When God calls you, you cannot be uncalled
- What I do does not change who I am in Christ; He is working on
me
