- If your cause is not Jesus alone then you have lost your focus
- Something will arise to snatch our attention away from Jesus
- Your faith is not supposed to be complicated-you’ve lost focus
- Happiness is in the grace of God alone; you’re missing the joy of the journey
- People get bent out of shape over current events, gays, liberals...
- People don’t want what you have; Jesus gives peace and joy
- Don’t be satisfied with a little
- When first saved there was only one book that mattered; I wanted Jesus, was praying and reading, not looking for another rally or seminar
- Christian authors don’t agree with one another
- We substitute study for prayer
- Authors write but have no experience with people
- Most scholars are deficient in prayer; knowledge puffs up, love builds up
- It doesn’t really matter when Jesus is coming back: live right and love God
- Know Him not so I can prove a point but to live in the power of the resurrection
