- We grow impatient with God taking matters into our own
hands
- God called Abram to leave his land. Wherever God took him,
he built an altar and worshipped
- Abram had a tent and an altar... a nomad, a foreigner...
- When Abram arrived where God led him, he found trouble
- With every promise there will be a problem
- Trust God even in famine; stay where He appointed you
- Abram went down to Egypt (world system) for help
- Be prepared to wait on God
- God tested the heart of Saul; Saul decided to do something
himself
- When we panic and act on fear we get less than God’s best
- When you go to Egypt you start scheming rather than trusting
