- God is not an equation, cannot be figured out, does things
differently with every person
- There are many lanes on the narrow road
- Our plans are inferior to God’s plans for us
- We live with chronic impatience for things to happen
- Farmers plant seed then wait patiently; there is a process
- We try to pick green fruit, to force people into the kingdom of
God
- Boston Terriers: intense, anything startles and they fight each
other
- In the body of Christ we fight because we’re impatient and
tense
- God is in control and does everything right on time
- Christians love to debate scripture/theology
- Prophets in scripture didn’t ask to be; now people after money
declare themselves prophets and apostles
- Prophets sometimes despised their mission, felt forsaken by
God
- Job remained faithful, God’s Spirit wouldn’t let him give
up
