- We all will die if Jesus tarries,  but we don't have to live in death: drunkenness drugs, lying, materialism, fornication, homosexuality, hatred, gambling, gluttony, anger, fear
- Weeds in a lawn, dust in the air.  We can never get rid of completely, they come back
- Knowing Jesus gives the power to dig up weeds all over again
- Satan effectively works in: people (relationships), prayer, God's Word
